+ I am going to tell a real life happening story and I have decided to tell this story because well, the only stories the papers think are worth tellling are the "society going to the dogs" stories. And I think it's about time we had a new angle. I was in a restaurant last night, when a girl about 18/19, excusing herself repeatedly interrupts the couple next to us to ask the lady if she has lost a ring. The young girl had found one in the restaurant bathroom and had seen the lady leave just before, she had handed it to the staff but was so concerned for the person who had lost it, she wanted to check with the lady herself. In the end it wasn't that woman's ring and the girl apologised again for interrupting their meal, the couple wouldn't hear of it and thanked the girl for being so considerate <3

+ Basically the point of this story is that; I LOVE people, I think they are wonderful and kind and good and thousands of headlines to the contarary will never convince me otherwise. And the moral; have FAITH in each other, the world is good.

+ Speaking of wonderful people, taday is [livejournal.com profile] someonescomet 's birthday. So, Happy Birthday! You haven't been on my flist long but you have already firmly established yourself as one sweetest people on lj. I know you've been having a difficult time of it lately but enjoy you're day, relax, eat lots of cake, sing and dance and take some time for yourself, you deserve it sweetie :)

+ I watched Marley & Me yesterday and with twenty or so mintues to go I realised I was going to cry over a dog movie. Then I figured it was OK to since it was one of the best films I've seen in a while; funny, pretty to look at and with some really touching moments, it didn't shy away from how hard life can get and was by the end quite life affirming. If you haven't seen it yet, do, you won't regret it.

+ Because a few of you asked me to keep you updated I have decided to attend the Univeristy of Dundee next year. I rhink it will be good for me to leave home and strike out on my own, thankyou all so much for your help and advice, your stories were reassuring and made me a great deal less scared. :)

+ I've been a bit M.IA recently, due in the most part to school, just finishing off coursework and the like, but it's the Easter holidays now. Two weeks off, and end of lent on Sunday! I have missed chocolate sooo bad.

+ Basically I've been attempting to decide where to go to University next year. I'll be studying History and it's between two Universitys, The University of Dundee and the University of Liverpool. They're both really good academically and student satisfaction wise, but Dundee is four hours away and Liverpool is home. So my decision is purely based on whether I want to go away or not. Any help, opinions or expereince of uni life is much appreciated. :)

+ This song just reminds me of summer. And Dawson's Creek, but that reminds me of summer too. I'm very nostalgic today :)

Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips

+ Mother's Day MIxtape was a huge success, so thankyou for all your help.

+ It's been sunny the past few days. Like middle of summer sunny, everything was beautiful, everyone was happy. Today it's cold, the skies are grey and it has rained of and off, misty, can't keep dry, soaks through your skin rain. Everything is not as beautiful, everyone is not as happy.

+ No matter how much work I do, my to do list just seems to get longer and longer. Teachers are throwing it at me faster than I can complete it. I suppose this is just the usual end of year 13, gearing up for exams work, but it's seeming never ending load is starting to get me down.

+ SPN. I thought you were done ripping my heart out? No? Sorry, my mistake. Also, promo for next week. I, just. BOWS DOWN TO KRIPKE.

+ I had more to tell, but I can't remeber now. Have a fic rec instead;

Easy on the Clutch :[info]winterweathered
Sam/Dean, NC-17
Words: 31,000
Warnings: Sam is underage.

+ It's gorgeous and angsty and full of tension and just about the most perfect pre-series fic ever. She is a master of Sam and Dean and oh, why are you still reading this. Go read it.

+ Firstly, and most importantly fandom news. Potter; (source Mugglenet)

Warner Brothers today announced a slew of release dates for their upcoming films - one of which was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, now set for July 15th, 2011.

As we learned a while ago, Deathly Hallows - Part 1 is set for November 19th, 2010. WB had originally set Part 2 for May 2011, but pushed the date back two months to the prime July slot.

+ On a happier note the people at Potter released a Half Blood Prince teaser, full of squee worthy Ron moments :D

+ Season Five people! Kripke can finish his five year plan, the twisted genius.

+ RL has been crazy busy and will be for about the next two weeks. I have coursework deadlines looming and the exams are coming closer so I'm really concentrating on my schoolwork. Hence the lack of updates and sparodic comments, I am sorry and I will try and catch up when I have more time. I hope you are all doing well and that you have a great weekend ♥

+ This had become a fully fledged Padalecki meme. Blame [livejournal.com profile] keepaofthecheez and[info]bridget_x_alena. And Jared Padalecki.

Because we all need more Jared Padalecki in our lives. WHY is he always on the floor? I don't care, I loves him.

Look at his SMILE and his thumbs! He's giving you the thumbs-up! Oh, Jared : ) Can I have him for Christmas? Please??

1. Post about something that made you happy today even if it's just a small thing.
2. Do this everyday for eight days without fail.
3. Tag eight of your friends to do the same.

Day Three;

+ Apart from Jared?! I went shopping today after school and met up with mum before hitting up the shops. We mostly just browsed, but we did get my birthday party outfit! : ) It's very pretty and sort of grown up (for me at least) but as mom pointed out, it is for my 18TH BIRTHDAY PARTY *squee*, so it should be grown up.

+ THE PANTO last night was AWESOME. I seriously love panto, it's such a weird Britsh tradition and utterly strange and freaky if you try to analyse it, but it's always such good fun and really marks the start of my Christmas.

+ Also, my team won the Christamas History Quiz. Again. Fourth year on the run. Catherine and I are the Christmas History Quiz Masters. We were rewarded with Mars Bars. J'ADORE quizzes.

Lewis Hamilton just became the youngest ever Formula 1 World Champion.

I don't even like motor racing, I don't know anyone who does, but in the last 30 seconds of that race I was screaming at the T.V, urging him on.

In other news I am desperately writing my Five Year Plans essay for Russian History tomorrow and it is not going well, but then Russian History never goes well. I will try and write another paragraph tonight and then just do my conclusion or I won't get any sleep.

To all those attempting Nano, I feel for you, especially those doing it while doing school, if I can help at all just give me a shout.

i picked up my As level results today

(for those outside of UK, a-level is your last two years of high school, As exams happen at the end of your 1st year and count towards points to get into uni.)

I got .................

A in English Literature,
A in History
A in English Language and
B in Religious Education

Yay! I am still in shock, seriously I did not expect this. I'm just so over the moon, hence the rambling!

Tonight we're having a bit of a celebration dinner and we have chocolate and a film. The parents are really proud and that makes me really happy. I will probably post something more in-depth and coherent once i've gotten used to the idea, but for now i'm just all over the place.
